If the foam expands while still at the canal entrance rather than inside the canal, normal pillow movement or jaw shifting during sleep creates enough force to dislodge the plug. Re-roll more tightly, insert more deeply, and hold for the full 30 seconds. If the problem persists, try one tip size smaller, which tends to stay seated more securely because the canal walls grip it more firmly.
